MID VALLEY AUTO TRANSPORT INC. PRIVACY POLICY

Carrier Terms and Conditions 

1. Documentation and Damage Reporting: • Gate Pass and Photographs: Prior to releasing any vehicles from auctions or dealerships or loading them onto transportation trucks, it is imperative to document all damages thoroughly. This documentation must be noted on the gate pass and accompanied by clear photographs. • Bill of Lading (BOL): A signed or stamped Bill of Lading must be provided to establish a comprehensive record of the vehicle’s condition at the time of pick-up. 2. Payment Guidelines: • No Direct Payments from or to Dealerships: Under no circumstances should any payment be requested or transacted directly with anyone at the dealership. • Post-Delivery Payment: Payment for transportation services will only be processed once any claims related to damages, negligence, or acts of God have been resolved. • Payment Schedule: Payments will be scheduled for release three business days after the receipt of a properly signed BOL and a completed W9 form. • Dry Run Fees: Mid Valley Auto Transport Inc. will not cover any dry run fees. Carriers must verify the readiness of the vehicles for pick-up by contacting the designated pick-up location in advance. 

 

3. Carrier Responsibilities: • Safekeeping of Vehicles: For after-hours deliveries, the carrier is fully responsible for the safekeeping of the vehicle(s) from theft or vandalism until they are safely in the possession of the customer or business owner. • Vehicle Handling: Carriers are not permitted to drive vehicles except for the purpose of loading and unloading. Unauthorized driving of vehicles will result in payment forfeiture and potential additional damages. • VIN Verification: Carriers must verify the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) of the vehicle. Payment will not be made for delivering the wrong vehicle. • Condition Report and BOL Requirements: A complete Condition Report and Client-Specific Bill of Lading must be filled out for all shipments. Failure to complete these documents will result in the withholding of payment. • Key Documentation: Always note the number of keys received at the time of pick-up and ensure they are properly documented. • Securing Loose Parts: All loose parts must be secured to avoid damage during transportation.

 

4. Vehicle Transport Specifications: • Convertible Cars: All convertible cars must be loaded on the top deck of the transport truck. • Maximum Inoperable Fee: The maximum allowable fee for inoperable vehicles is $50. • Loading and Unloading Fees: The agreed-upon price for transportation services includes all loading and unloading fees. 

 

5. Penalties and Deductions: • Late Deliveries: Excessively late deliveries will be subject to penalties and deductions from the payment. • Damages to Vehicles: Mid Valley Auto Transport Inc. reserves the right to withhold carrier payments for any damages to vehicles or property incurred during transport. 

 

6. Documentation Submission Deadline: • Invoice and Document Submission: All required documents (including BOL, Condition Report, and invoices) must be submitted within 30 days of delivery for payment to be processed. • Signatures: It is mandatory to obtain legible signatures upon pick-up and delivery as proof of the transaction and condition.
